Sea Scales

This piece, approximately 24" x 14" x 11", is made from an armature from two rusted plant holders that I attached together. I loved the rocking form but didn't like many elements of the shape. So, with paper and glue, I transformed it, while retaining its wonderful movement. The finished piece reminds me of the scales of justice, only mine seem to come from the sea. Each flat part of the scale holds many tiny pieces of transparent paper that look like they have crystallized.
